



You know what they say, when in Rome... Uhh, imperial conquest... Public baths... Betrayal?
Not sure, actually. But anyway, this one's about a new way to say "when doing X"! So, actually not "when in" at all... darn. I really don't want to rewrite the Rome thing though, so just pretend it makes sense.

Casual present/past verb + 際

Nounの際
Example:
→ モンスターを倒した際に、アイテムをもらえます。
"When you defeat a monster, you can receive an item.”

「〜時」、「〜機会に」という意味。

「〜時」よりも少し硬い言い方なので日常会話ではあまり使われない。

「〜際は〜ください」という形で使われることが多い。
