The ~なら・はともかく and ~なら・はまだしも patterns are used to express that "While X may be okay/permissible, Y is not okay/acceptable". This entry concerns the ~まだしも patterns!
For まだしも, the following patterns are possible: ~ならまだしも・ ~はまだしも.
E.g. 5分くらいならまだしも、1時間も遅れるなら連絡してくださいよ! "Around five minutes would be okay, but if you're going to be as much as an hour late, please let me know!"
